THE LAST DAYS OF SEPTEMBER

STANDING UPON A STORMY GROUND’
THE SMOKEY SMELL OF AUTUMN’S CALL
AND THE WIND BLOWS HARD TO PULL US ‘ROUND
FOR WINTERS BLANKET WON’T BE LONG

AS SLEEPERS DREAM OF STORMY CLOUDS
A FIRELIGHT WILL BURN A SHROUND
ON THE BACKS OF LOVERS TO KEEP THEM WARM
AND SHELTERS THEM WITH ALL IT’S LOVE

YES I’M HOLDIN’ ON
THIS I WILL REMEMBER
GUESS WE BOTH BELONGED
TO THESE MOMENTS OF SEPTEMBER

THE DAYLIGHTS WARMING SEPTEMBER MORN
A FROZEN WINDOW BEGINS IT’S THAW
SIMMERING COFFEE ON THE STOVE
KISS ME BAY, I’M SO IN LOVE

GOIN’ BACK TO REMEMBER

TO THE DAYS OF SEPTEMBER

THE LAST TWO DAYS OF ….

CHILL THE COOL OCTOBER SUN
FOR THE END OF SEPTEMBER HAS JUST BEGUN
COME COLOURS OF NATURE COLOUR US LOVE
WITH THE FALL OF THE HEAVENS FROM UP ABOVE

AS SLEEPERS WALK THROUGH STORMY NIGHTS
A CANDLE REFLECTS IN THEIR EYES
AND INTO THE HEARTS OF THE LOVERS’ DAWN
WILL WAKE THE FROST OF AUTUMN’S LOVE
